PRIVACY NOTICE
This explains what happens to the information you send us through this site. It is short because the site does very little with your data.
Who we are
S86 Studio is a creative and technology studio based in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at mail@s86studio.com or +44 7777 105827.
What this site collects
Only what you type into the enquiry form, and only when you choose to send it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company, if you give one — this field is optional
- The kind of work you are after, and a rough budget, if you pick them
- Whatever you write in the message
There is nothing else. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party scripts. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font network, so visiting a page does not report anything about you to anyone else.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To read your enquiry and reply to it. Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted a business about its services. If a project starts, the same details are then used to carry out our contract with you.
Who else handles it
Three suppliers touch it, each only to get your message to our inbox:
- Cloudflare — hosts this site and runs the form's endpoint. It processes your IP address to apply a rate limit, which is what stops the form being used to send bulk mail. We do not store your IP address ourselves.
- Resend — delivers the enquiry to us as an email.
- Our email provider — holds the resulting message in our inbox, as it would any other email.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Where a project goes ahead, we keep what we need for the work and for our business records, and for the six years after that which UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our holding it at all. Email mail@s86studio.com and we will deal with it within one month.
If you think we have handled your information badly, you are entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
